Position Overview:

The Sales Engineer is a dynamic role that blends sales expertise with technical knowledge to drive revenue and customer satisfaction. Acting as a key contributor to the sales team, this individual will not only collaborate with internal and partner sales teams but also engage directly with customers to identify their needs, deliver tailored solutions, and close deals. The Sales Engineer will play a pivotal role in showcasing Blendata’s platform capabilities, solving complex business challenges, and ensuring customers achieve their desired outcomes. This is a customer-facing sales role that demands strategic thinking, technical proficiency, and a results-driven mindset.

Requirement

Key Responsibilities:

  Technical Sales:

  • Collaborate with partner sales teams or work independently to understand customer requirements and objectives.
  • Deliver impactful product demonstrations, technical presentations, and workshops to highlight the platform’s value.
  • Develop and execute proof-of-concept (POC) projects tailored to specific client needs.

Solution Design:

  • Partner with customers and sales teams to identify challenges and design innovative solutions leveraging our Big Data analytics platform.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical proposals, architecture diagrams, and implementation strategies.

Customer Engagement:

  • Build strong, trusted relationships with key stakeholders to foster long-term partnerships.
  • Address technical inquiries and provide expert recommendations to guide decision-making.
  • Engage directly with customers for solution presentations, feedback sessions, and addressing technical challenges.

Collaboration and Feedback:

  • Collaborate with product and R&D teams to share market trends and customer insights.
  • Contribute to the creation of technical materials, including reference architectures, whitepapers, and case studies.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a Sales Engineer, Solution Architect, or similar role in the Big Data or Cloud industry.
  • Strong expertise in Big Data platforms, Data Lakehouse architectures, and analytics tools.
  • Proficiency in Hadoop, Spark, SQL, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Hands-on experience with data engineering, ETL processes, or data analytics is highly desirable.
  • Certifications in relevant technologies are a plus.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience selling or supporting Hadoop or Spark platforms, data warehouses, or cloud data solutions.
  • Demonstrated success in working with enterprise-level clients and complex sales cycles.
